Research is where our story began
What is the impact of digital publishing, and how can it become more sustainable? Our research into those questions led to our first product: Greenzeen, developed with the ambition of making carbon-neutral publishing possible.
Greenzeen Research takes that curiosity further. We explore topics at the intersection of sustainability, innovation and digital knowledge sharing. We search, compare and interpret: not to add more information, but to understand what matters.

Research deserves to be read

We consider digital accessibility in content, design and technology. For each project, we agree on the requirements, how the publication will be assessed and who will address improvements. An existing report can also be the starting point.

Digital communication has an environmental impact. We work to understand the impact of online publishing and also invest in our food forest in Boekelo, the Netherlands. Statements about carbon compensation require a clear scope, period and supporting evidence. We distinguish the emissions associated with our services from the contribution of the food forest.
Frequently asked questions
Our research service focuses primarily on desk research, literature and source analysis, and the comparison of existing knowledge. Field measurements, pilots and specialist modelling are not automatically included. If a question requires that expertise, we discuss what is needed and how it will be organised before starting.
Yes. Research and publishing can be commissioned together or separately. If you already have a report or a collection of findings, we can help with the editorial structure and a suitable digital publication. We agree on content review and responsibilities in advance.
No. Intended use, confidentiality and any public release are agreed in advance. Not every internal research dossier is intended for a publicly accessible publication.
They depend on the research question, available sources, required depth and the form of delivery. We prepare a proposal setting out the scope, approach, deliverables and schedule. This makes clear what to expect and where additional work would begin.
